Surgery NOW

After a visit and prayer this morning with Jeff [Cedarville U. OPE faculty advisor] and Anthony [OPE bro.], Dan was finally escorted to surgery. The surgery may take about 3-4 hours.

He is not worried or anxious and thanks all of you for your prayers, verses and words of encouragement.

We will post the update this evening, but he will be pretty much "out of it" till Wednesday morning.

We Love all of you so much!!!
Bill & Debbie, Matt & Emily, Jen & Jeff, Mike, Dan, Gabriella & Adelina.

I'm Brynn's mom! Brynn was on the MX team. Praying for your family, Dan in particular, of course, but also Deb. As a mother of a very sick child at one time, I can relate and she's been on my heart often. I love the words of this song--JESUS DRAW ME EVER NEARER (May This Journey)and have found myself praying them often for you . Susan Paine

Jesus draw me ever nearer
As I labor thro' the storm
You have called me to this passage
And I'll follow, though I'm worn.

May this journey bring a blessing
May I rise on wings of faith
And at the end of my heart's testing
With Your likeness let me wake

Jesus guide me through the tempest
Keep my spirit staid and sure
When the midnight meets the morning
Let me love You even more

Let the treasure of the trial
Form within me as I go
And at the end of this long passage
Let me leave them at Your throne.

Dan and family,

This is Beth Bolander, Ben's mom. Your family has been so much in my thoughts and prayers since we got the news of the accident. Many in our church and elsewhere are in prayer for you as well. I am looking forward to seeing how God continues to work on your behalf, thank you for being such an encouragement and bright light for Christ during this time. Lam.3:21-23 "This I will recall to my mind , therefore I have hope. The Lord's lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great Is Your Faithfulness!"
With love and prayers, the Bolanders

Dan, We are upholding you and your family in our prayers!!!
"For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. 20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen."
Ephesians 3:14-21
Love you all lots! The McReavy's

I've been reading John Calvin's Institutes of the Christian Religion. And in the section under God's Providence he says, "When our lives are in turmoil so that we cannot think straight, we should still believe that God, in the purse light of his justice and wisdom, keeps our problems under his control, and finds the right solution... How is it that the confidence [of the saints] never fails? It can only be that while the world seems to go on its random way, they know that God is at work everywhere, and they can be secure in this."

I hope that is a source of encouragement to you, as it was to me.
