Ways to Help II

This is a hard one for us Knudsen's, but we have dear friends begging for us to put this out. For those who are desiring to help us financially, currently you may send a check to:

Harvest Bible Chapel
Att: Drew Schmitz
1000 N. Randall Road
Elgin, IL 60123

Put "Dan Knudsen" in the check memo -- they have started an account for us. We are researching non-profit options that will be needed for Dan's long term care.

Again we want to say how thankful we are for all of you. Thank you for "checking in on Dan" so often and for praying. We continue to receive the kindest notes and cards and gifts, and we are humbled (a very good thing) at your generosity. What a privilege to be in the body of Christ.

"Thank you, Lord, for our family, friends, and many people we have never met who continue to shower us with the love of Christ."

P.S. This may be hard to believe, but we need to put Starbucks ["no, not Starbucks!"] and Subway on the "we have a lot" list. Gas cards, TGIF, & Corner Bakery seem to get used the most, and the RIC lunch room DOES take those Visa/MC/Dscvr/AmEx gift cards.

Thank you for the home made meals [frozen/single servings] that are able to be used by whom ever is staying at the RIC.

Bill, Debbie and the rest of the family,

We understand the difficulty and perhaps reluctance in asking for help. We have known you guys to give until it hurts when you have been able to come along side a brother or sister in need. Thank you for asking for help and allowing us to follow God's prompting to come to your aid. Until now We have felt as though prayer has not been enough and that more should be done. We are glad to be given the oportunity to help in an additional way.

Love you guys!

A check is on the way!

A brother and sister in Christ.

Thank you so much for putting details on how to help on your blog. We also know of many who are wanting to help in more ways than praying. We know this came from prompting of others and not your desire to seek out needs! So thank you for your humility in posting. Our Lord is faithful in providing even those daily, seemingly trivial needs. May we all open our wallets GENEROUSLY to the Knudsen family, fo we too might soon be in a position of great need.

Dear Bill and Debbie,

Much of the time it is easier to serve than to be served. It often takes more humility to receive graciously than to be the ones giving. We have known you both as servants for years as well as your entire family. Thank you for your honesty and humility in letting Christ's body know how we can best serve you now. Now we can put "feet" to our prayers (which, by the way, haven't and won't stop!!).

Your brother and sister in Christ

Hey Dan its me Cory. Just wanted to see how everythings going. I heard that you've started therapy now. I think of you all the time especially when I'm at therapy. T
he other day I was doing an excersize and fell of the back of the chair. Thank GOD I didn't hit my head too hard but my back hurt bad. Mom took me over to the chiropractor which is right across the way. He said everything looked O.K. and adjusted me. It is better but a little sore. My therapist whose name is also "Dan" felt so bad. We always tease each other because he is a Cardinal fan and of course I'm a CUBS fan. Can't wait to see you. Your cousin Cory and the rest of the Szots.

The Lord is continuing to work admist your family, and through financial gifts may we be able to encourage you as a family while you are going through this. May be all be able to share more than our thoughts with you, but our prayers and resources as well, for one day it will come when others are in need, maybe even ourselves, and we wish to give. May the Lord continue to bless you all and carry Dan through this time.

Hello folks,
We just wanted to let you know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Do you still need someone to come and sit with Dan so you can tend to other things? If so just let me (Susan) know and we can work out a date and time. There are so many people praying for you! Isn't God amazing! He gives us grace for the moment, not more than we need, not less than we need, not early or late. Just what we need when we need it! May God Bless you! Henry, Martha and Susan V.

What a wonderfully humble and gracious way to allow the body to help out with something practical. We love to give and for a while, now, we have had to learn to receive. It has been humbling, maybe even embarrasing but it has shown us the creativity of God. He knows what hearts He can touch to elicit a positive response. May God provide each and every one of your needs. We continue to pray for you and for Dan. God will be glorified in this.

How I wish I could help financially as well as through prayer. Don't be embarrassed at posting your needs. God blesses us when we give. But we can only give when we know how best to help. I hope God will make it possible for me to help in the future.
