Thanks For The Memories

Tonight is our last night at Old Kirk Road in Geneva, IL

These photos are for our children, relatives, and friends who have gathered here
these past 16 years. Thanks

There has been much practicing going on around here.

Some of it serious ... and entertaining ... some of it just plain fun.

Has hosted not one, but TWO engagement
proposals.

Numerous youth gatherings and bonfires.
[always loved the pile of shoes by the front door.]

Many A Merry Christmas

Easter gatherings and egg hunts.

Fourth of July and Summer Parties.

Watch out! Uncle Brian is in the pool.

Boy, have we had fun!

I am sure there are tears to be shed this morning...but I look forward to pictures of all the joy that new temp. place and then the new home will hold. Because of having to move alot as a adult...I take all my precious moments with me and focus on all the ones God will bring in the future. Praying in Northern Ohio.

a home built around the love of Jesus. Growing up I loved that our home was "that safe haven" for all.

God has blessed you over the past 16 years, the next 16 are going to be even better. I believe this to be true.

good times....i'm gonna miss that house.

Thankfully, our identity and joy doesn't lie in our earthly homes, but in the house of the Lord and ultimately the house of heaven.

"One thing have I asked of the Lord,
that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple."
-Ps.27:4

I'm glad you guys are stayin' in the area though so i can drop by randomly. I'm moving home next semester, and I'm looking forward to visiting Dan a lot.

Love you guys. Be encouraged with the steadfast love of Christ.

In Christ,

Jordan H.
Rom.3:21-26

That was the perfect house to grow up in. Now you guys get the perfect, brand new house you've dreamed of without the huge yard and pool to maintain, Dad!
We can't wait to see your temporary home at Christmas - and your new permanant home (and a new little someone) in the summer!

Thanks for being my home away from home during my years at Cedarville. That house holds many beautiful memories for me. You have richly blessed me and I hope you will be blessed beyond measure in your new home. Bonnie <><

A couple of years ago we left the memories to downsize. At first I couldn't believe the short distance from the bedroom to the kitchen...like...12 steps! We love it. I feel like we are on vacation and should be going "home" soon. People make a house..."home." Blessings Knudsens. Praying for you in OH...Cedarville mom

I am sad as I read this post since it was there that Dan and I went on our first date! I always appreciated the way that your home was open to us. Thanks for the great memories.

Captain Scratch! How are you?! Glad to hear your doing so well. I was in the younger kids camp but next time I will be in the older. I cried when I heard 5 months ago! So much progress you've made. You have many, many, many people praying for you in Mexico. I know for a lot of the kids it is always a lot of fun at camp. You people at Ceaderville make it such a great time for us. You all have become my heroes or people i want to be like. Every night I pray, "Dear Jesus, Please if it be your will, let Dan walk again. Bless his family and help him to trust in you. In Jesus name, Amen." That would be so cool if you came down another year! God can do it! Keep your faith strong in him! Your Little Camper Friend, Caris

P.S. I hope i get to meet you some day! Love you like a friend even if i didn't get to know you that much. I love all the people at Ceaderville, especially you guys who come or came down.

I remember a New Year's Eve with about 35-40 kids and Matt leading the praises to bring in the New Year! and that big egg holding the most precious shirt in the world. I also remember a friend who always said, "Hold loosely to the thing of the world" - yes precious memories - but "Precious Memories, how they linger, how they ever flood my soul", yes the memories of Jesus being the Head of this "home" is the greatest of all memories. Thanks for making this Gramma so proud. I love you!
