Merry Christmas 2008

Merry Christmas & Feliz Navidad, to all of our CheckInOnDan friends. We trust you are enjoying time with your families and all the festivities of the Christmas Season.

We ask you to be in prayer for a few pressing issues:
1. Dan to continue to have a consistent blood pressure.
2. State of IL, funding/approval for Dan's personal assistant, Garrett.
3. State of OH, to be expedient in approving care for Dan.
(Dan currently has NO support, medical care, etc, from either state)

Dan had an article in the Cedarville University, Alumni Inspire Magazine, His article is on page 16. Enjoy

PS - If you are not able to open this link, email us, for a PDF copy of Dan's article.

Hi Dan , Debbie and Bill,
Writing from Washington State where it is cold and wintery. WE are breaking all kinds of records here.
I have been following Dan's story since I heard about the accident, and have prayed for each of you often. I am a nurse, so understand some of the complexities of your days and the unbelieveable steps that Dan has made to "come back to life."
I am so proud of your hard work and your willingness to fight back and not quit Dan. I am excited that you are back at school (I knew you could do it!) and that you are seeing the incredible provision and power of God in your life. Thanks for being willing to write about this last year of great pain and discouragement and soul searching. You encourage us and you show God at work to so many!! It was a great article, Dan. Thankyou for sharing your heart with us. I know that God will continue to establish your ways and broaden your pathes as He works out His ongoing plan for your life. Your strength and courage comes from your trust and acceptance of whatever His will is for your life. He is going to use you in a phenomenal way, Dan. (He already has). Praying that your BP will stabilise and that you will be able to get the funding you need for your care.

You, O LORD, keep my lamp burning;
my God turns my darkness into light.
With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can
scale a wall.
As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless.
He is a shield for all who take refuge in Him. For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the Rock except our God? It is God who arms me with strength. Ps. 18:28-32

In Christ's love,

Amy
