Have fun with Peter Singer, the utilitarian! I believe he's honest in expressing his arguments, but I don't agree with many of his premises nor, therefore, his conclusions. I have no doubts about what would be his opinion of the value of Benji's life. Enjoy this incredible exercise of your mind and heart!

I would love to read your paper when you're finished, if you post it. I have had several discussions w/Sarah relating to this topic & want to know what YOU have to say about it. Our good friends lost a baby at birth due to anencephaly. Not the same, I know, but all connected re:pregnancy & sanctity of life issues.
I am praying that you have clarity of thought & retention, discernment and Godly wisdom throughout this project & also thru this remaining semester. There are plenty of establishments in need of truth & direction on this whole subject.

It would be so interesting to see where your research takes you especially because I have first hand experience working with those infants. I always wonder in the long run what quality of life all the life-sustaining and life-saving procedures will have for a infant born 15 weeks premature. These are the premies prone to terrible head bleeds, bad lungs, and many other medical and mental problems. It's a hard issue and I'm proud to see you tackle it.
